Baldness affects millions of men worldwide, even younger than twenty five years of age. Even though it is absolutely normal for all men to lose some hair, when the hair does not grow back and patches start appearing, then we can speak of baldness. This health condition doesn’t affect all men in the same way – some lose just a bit of hair, others all of it, and in extreme cases absolutely all bodily hair is lost as well. First type is the most common, it is called pattern baldness and usually affects men from 25 to 40 years of age.

Pattern baldness is caused by the hormone Dihydrotestosterone, which is responsible for the hair follicles shrinking which in turn results in weaker hair growth. With time, the follicles can get so much smaller that no hair grows at all – and this is when bald patches appear. Dihydrotestosterone is the result of the reaction involving testosterone and 5-alpha reductase enzyme.

Pattern baldness can be left untreated and does not affect one’s overall health if the man is satisfied with his appearance; still keep in mind that unexpected losses of hair can indicate more serious conditions, which is why in such cases medical help must be sought ASAP. However, if you start to see bald spots on your head and have been losing your hair bit by bit, you may be interested in the hair loss treatments available today.

Male pattern baldness is usually treated with synthetic drugs, but hair transplants are also possible and often the drugs are used even after hair transplantation in order to prevent further hair loss. Finasteride is one of the commonly used hair loss drugs today and is sold as generic Propecia or under the brand name Propecia; since they are chemically almost identical, there is no difference in their quality, at the same time the generic Propecia is cheaper and readily available online. Still, the pills should be taken after consulting a doctor only since like most synthetic drugs, side effects are possible.

Finasteride 5mg and 1mg are the two doses sold and the pill is taken once daily with a glass of water for as long as prescribed by physician. The treatment is continuous – it might take about a month for the first results to appear. However, Finasteride has been subjected to numerous clinical studies and medical tests, which have proved that in most cases men experience stop of hair loss and even some hair re-growth.

Since pattern baldness isn’t a threat to overall health, you can choose not to treat it, but if you are conscious about your appearance and want to appear younger, then consult a doctor and let him explain the possible treatments’ pros and cons. Once you have been prescribed finasteride, take the pills for as long as directed and sooner or later you will see just how much of a difference this drug can make.

Often married couples try to concieve for years without any success. The causes of infertility can vary and lie in both partners. The chances of anomalies in the female and the male reproductive systems are practically the same – about 35%, and in the majority of the cases the infertility is caused by problems in both the. About 10% of the causes remain unexplained, but nevertheless, it is commonly believed that adopting more healthier lifestyle and excluding alcohol, drugs and cigarettes, can raise the chances of conceiving.

One common abnormality in the female reproductive system is anovulation; this is a menstrual cycle during which ovulation does not occur. The lack of ovulation comes with certain symptoms and signs, but they are not exclusive to anovulation and quite often aren’t manifested at the same time. Thus the diagnosis is not an easy and straightforward, but once the anovulation has been confirmed, the condition can be managed with success.

Clomiphene is one of the most commonly prescribed drugs used for anovulation treatment – this is a truly effective medication that has about 80% success rate. That almost guarantees ovulation, but does not guarantee conceiving – as already noted, the infertility causes might be many and deeper. Still, when prescribed and taken as directed, up to 40% of the women fall pregnant and have babies; as with any fertility medication, Clomiphene increases the chances of triplets to 1% and the chances of twins from 1% to 10%. Although most parents are excited with having twins or triplets, the pregnancies in such cases are often problematic.

However, Clomiphene has helped many couples to start a family and for the vast majority of them this has happened right after the first cycle. Clomiphene is given for five days every month and the typical dose is 50mg, but the physician may decide to increase it to Clomiphene 100mg after the first few cycles. Even though not too expensive, the drug can be purchased at a better price online, where it is usually sold as generic Clomiphene or generic Clomid; when it is purchased from a legit online drugstore and has been prescribed by a doctor, the effect of the generic Clomiphene is exactly the same as the one ordered in the local pharmacy.

As with other similar medication, Clomiphene should be taken only after the necessary tests have been run and only under doctor’s supervision. In the majority of the cases there are no side effects, but occasionally hot flashes and mood swings may occur; in the case of more serious reactions, an immediate help should be sought. When discussing a possible Clomiphene treatment, make sure that you tell your physician about any health issues that you have, as well as all drugs or natural supplements that you are currently taking.

Usually men are caught by surprise when they start losing their hair. Some of them try to make the best out of their new look, but the majority is prepared to do just about anything to get their hair back.

Nowadays, for a first time in the history, hair restoration is possible and hair loss can be successfully treated; the hair loss can be prevented through various man-made drugs intake, while hair restoration is a surgical procedure required to cover the bald patches. As with any other surgical procedure, most men would like to avoid it if at all possible. The only way to do that is to start treating hair loss at an early stage. The most commonly used drugs work in such a way that if they don’t lead to hair re-growth, they will at the very least stop further hair thinning or loss.

The most effective hair loss medications found on the market today are those that have been approved by the FDA (the American Food and Drugs Administration) and subjected to extensive research and clinical tests. One such drug is Finasteride, it was approved by the FDA in 1997 under the brand name Propecia. It is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, which works by reducing the production of the hormone that plays main role in the development of male baldness. Finasteride is also sold under other trade names, but generic Propecia and Propecia are what most men are familiar with.

Anyway, is there a difference between generic Propecia and Propecia?

They are the same as far as the main active ingredients and their effectiveness are concerned, but the generic drugs are cheaper and can be purchased from many of the online drugstores. Finasteride 1mg and 5mg are the two available dosages; the medication should be taken orally with a glass of pure water and can be taken before or after a meal. The pills don’t give an instantaneous result – the course of the treatment can run for many years, but the effect should become clearly visible after a few months.

Finasteride is a medication that can lead to adverse side effects and although only less than 2% of the test subjects have experienced side effects, the treatment should be supervised by a physician. For certain percentage of men, finasteride 5mg leads to hair re-growth, and for the rest it prevents hair thinning and further hair loss. Sometimes finasteride is prescribed to men who have undergone hair replacement surgery, in order to prevent the loss of their natural hair.

Male pattern baldness is defined as the slow and gradual loss of hair and can happen even to men as young as twenty; this condition drastically changes man’s look and leads to emotional distress, low self-esteem and self-consciousness. Luckily, scientists and hair restoration specialists have made tremendous progress during the past few years, and in the future even more effective medications are very likely to be developed.

Although many people are quite skeptic about the use of synthetic drugs and the antibiotics in particular, without the antibiotics treating bacterial infections would be much more difficult. The unwanted side effects are quite often caused by patients taking antibiotics not as prescribed by doctor or self-treating themselves with antibiotics; the antibiotics, just like all other drugs have to comply with high safety standards and would therefore never be approved for sale if they are considered a major health hazard. Surely, if antibiotic course has been prescribed and side effects experienced, immediate medical help should be sought.

From all the popular antibiotics sold today, the azithromycin is by far one of the most prescribed. Azithromycin belongs to a class of antibiotics known as macrolide antibiotics and is used for treating bacterial infections. Azithromycin was discovered in the 1980 by Croatian scientists and patented by them; a year later the pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer signed an agreement, which allowed them to sell the antibiotic in the United States and Western Europe. Azithromycin is marketed under various brand names in the different countries, with Zithromax, Sumamed and Zentiva being the most known. However, it is often sold under numerous generic names too and is packed in capsules of azithromycin 500mg and azithromycin 250mg, still a one-time larger dose is also available.

Bronchitis, tonsillitis and pneumonia are the most known bacterial infections that are treated with azithromycin. Even though the antibiotic is very safe and prescribed to adults and children alike, sometimes it causes unwanted side effects with the most common of them being vomiting, diarrhea and nausea. The antibiotic might react with birth control pills and other medications. Before starting an azithromycin course, you should discuss with your doctor all supplements and drugs that you may be taking, as well as the health conditions that you have, if any. This is very important since the azithromycin is not recommended to people with heart rhythm disorder, kidney disease, and other serious diseases.

Azithromycin is often sold as generic Zithromax on many of the online pharmacies and costs considerably less than the drug that you can buy in the local pharmacy. Even though the generic drugs are cheaper, they are by no means just imitations – they are exactly the same drug, with the same active ingredients, and act as well as the brandname drugs. However, like with everything else sold online, the antibiotics should be ordered only from reputable and well-known online drugstores and a caution should be exercised.

Even nowadays there are many misconceptions about antibiotics, although lots of things have been said about them in the past years. But when it comes to bad bacterial infections, antibiotics are some of some of the most effective and the most commonly prescribed medications as well.

What are bacterial infections and bacteria?

The bacteria are microorganisms that live in our bodies all the time and most of them are harmless since our immune systems take care of them, some can be beneficial. However, there are certain types of bacteria that are harmful to our health and cause bacterial infections. In some cases the symptoms of such infections are mild, but some serious diseases including syphilis, tuberculosis or cholera are caused by bacteria too.

The most commonly prescribed anti-bacterial therapy is the antibiotics treatment; they work in two ways, which depends on the bacteriatype: they can kill the bacteria or prevent their spreading. Today most of the antibiotics are semi-synthetic and developed by modifying natural ingredients chemically. The antibiotics can cause adverse effects, with the most common ones being fever or nausea, however, severe side effects are also possible. Certain antibiotics can interact with other drugs or alcohol and such interaction might also provoke serious reactions.

One of the most-selling antibiotics is Azithromycin, it is sold under the brand name Zithromax in the US and under other trade names in Europe. It is also sold as generic Zithromax – capsules which have almost the same ingredients as branded Zithromax, but cannot be sold under that name due to the fact that Pfizer owns it. The generic pills are cheaper, in some cases they cost only a fraction of what the brand-name drug is sold.

The Azithromycin 250mg and 500mg are the two available doses and the drug is taken once daily for as long as it is prescribed; the antibiotic is used for treating various bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, middle ear infection, throat infection, pneumonia, etc. As with other antibiotics, it is very important that the full treatment course is completed, even though the symptoms of the disease can disappear earlier.

Azithromycin cannot be used for viral infections treatment as any other antibiotic, and the drug should not be taken without doctor’s prescription. Azithromycin can also cause adverse effects, usually they are upset stomach and diarrhea and in some cases this can be overcome with taking the pills after a meal, instead of taking them on an empty stomach. Azithromycin is overall extremely safe and very effective, which is prescribed to patients with weakened immune systems.

Almost all married couples dream of having children and although nowaday’s better health care allows more women to fulfill their dreams of becoming moms, the infertility still exists and it should be properly addressed. The anovulation, or the lack of ovulation is one of the reasons why women cannot conceive. Even though the causes for anovulation can differ, the most common one is the polycystic ovary syndrome, which affects anywhere from 5% to 10% of all women in reproductive age. The PCOS is also related to insulin resistance, diabetes and obesity.

Like any other ovulation disorder, anovulation is usually diagnosed when a doctor discusses with a woman her menstruating cycles and blood tests and ultrasound of the ovaries can be done as well in order to establish if ovulation occurs.

In the majority of the cases especially if the woman is younger than 37 years, anovulation can be successfully managed. The treatments depend on whether the woman is trying to get pregnant. In the former case one of the most prescribed medication is Clomiphene, which is also known as Clomifert and Clomifene, and is sold under various trade names such as Serophene, Milophene and Clomid. It induces ovulation and has helped millions of women to conceive; still, this drug should be taken responsibly and only if prescribed by a doctor. The usual treatment is done only after certain tests have been run, including testing of the male partner.

Clomiphene is most commonly administered for five days each month and the ovulation occurs five to twelve days after the last pill has been taken. The success rate is extremely high – up to 80% of the women that take Clomid ovulate and 40% of them successfully conceive.

As all synthetic drugs, Clomiphene can cause unwanted side effects, the most common of which are visual blurring, hot flashes, ovarian enlargements (which are reversible) and less often nausea and vomiting. Clomiphene also increases the chance of conceiving with twins, which carries number or risks as well.

25mg of Clomiphene is the smallest dose and it is also the one that is usually prescribed, and only if necessary can be increased to 50mg or 100mg. When sold online, the Clomiphene is often referred to as generic Clomid, which is also much cheaper than the brand name pills that you can purchase from your local pharmacy.

Clomiphene is an oral medication and it should be taken with a glass of water, although injections can also be administered. As already mentioned above, Clomiphene is a very powerful drug that should be used only if prescribed by a doctor and for as long as it has been prescribed!

The second most common cause of death in women which affects thousands of women all over the globe is breast cancer. It is detected when a lump is found in the breast or change in the breast tissue is noticed. The treatment has higher chances of success if the cancer is detected at an earlier stage, which is why in developed countries mammography is a main part of screening in females. Breast cancer is rare in men but it still accounts for about 450 deaths in the United States every year.

Causes of breast cancer:

The exact causes of breast cancer are unclear for the time being, but most of the risk factors have been already identified; the factor that has most weight is the genetic predisposition – if a woman has family members that have had breast cancer, she is two to three times more likely to get breast cancer too. If a woman has had breast cancer, she is also more likely to develop cancer in her opposite breast. Race and age play major role as well – older women are more vulnerable as well as Caucasian women, but African-American women have faster growing tumors and lesser chance of surviving the disease.

However, not all risk factors are out of our control – the direct link between hormones and breast cancer has already been proven and at present time most doctors are convinced that the more a woman is exposed to the sexual hormone estrogen, the higher is the risk of breast cancer developing. These are females that have had their initial menstruation before the age of thirteen, have never had children or had their first child when they were in their thirties. It has also been suggested that regular exercise diminishes the chance of breast cancer.

How is breast cancer treated?

Not all treatments work for all patients, that is why a treatment should be decided by the patient after numerous tests and scans and after consulting a specialist. The treatment options are chemotherapy, surgery, hormone therapy and targeted therapy. The best possible treatment depends on the overall health of the person, the test results and the stage of development of the breast cancer.

There are three groups of drugs for breast cancer treatment: hormone blocking therapy, chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies. They are prescribed in the different stages of the disease and if they act as an addition to the primary treatment, are called adjuvant therapy. One of the most commonly prescribed hormone blocking therapy medication is Tamoxifen 10mg, which is sold as Nolvadex and acts by reacting with the hormone estrogen, which hormone facilitates the cancer growth.

Most treatments for breast cancer come with side effects, which is why Tamoxifen should be taken after being prescribed by a qualified doctor; often the treatment lasts a few years, and some of the bad reactions like nausea or insomnia only occur at an early stage, but if the side effects are severe or persist, immediate medical attention should be sought ASAP.

Enlarged prostate, also called benign prostatic hyperplasia, is a condition that affects about 50% of men over 65 years old and literally every man above the age 85. It can be successfully treated in most cases, but if it is left untreated it can lead to much more serious complications.

The enlarge prostate symptoms may vary from person to person, but are commonly associated with urination problems; this starts with waking up in the middle of the night with the need to urinate, but can be also manifested as weak urination. If the treatment starts at an early stage, the benign prostatic hyperplasia can be stopped and the prostate can get back to normal size. The commonly prescribed medications are the alpha blockers and the 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors; these two groups work differently and while the alpha blockers relax the muscles of the prostate and the bladder neck, the 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors restrain the production of Dihydrotestosterone, which is the hormone that leads to benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Finasteride, which is one of the most effective 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors, was approved by the FDA in 1992 for benign prostatic hyperplasia treatment under the trade name Proscar. It is sold under various brand names, such as Fincar, Fincover, Finpecia, Proscar and Finax. The Finasteride 1mg and Finasteride 5mg are the two doses commonly sold and the packages are of 60, 90, 180 and 240 tablets.

Even though extremely effective, the Finasteride is not a cure for enlarged prostate, but it successfully manages this condition. For most patients this means that once they start taking pill, they have to stay on it for the rest of their lives. However, its effect is noticeable typically within a few months. The prostate shrinks back to normal size and all the urination problems disappear. As with other synthetic drugs, Finasteride can cause unwanted side effects and is not recommended for men suffering from prostate cancer, liver and kidney diseases or kidney infection. Finasteride works really well for most patients, regardless of their age and the unwanted effects are mild.

Even though enlarged prostate isn’t a life-threatening disease, it should be treated as soon as possible. If you experience urination problemsg or any of the other symptoms described in this review, you should visit your doctor and ask him for advice. If your doctor prescribed you a Finasteride treatment, you should take the pills every day for as long as needed. In the majority of the cases the effect is not visible right away, but most patients report considerable improvement a few months after the commencement of the treatment. Even though taking Finasteride for the rest of your life might sound like something you wouldn’t like to do, right now this is still the best alternative and the only way to reverse the condition and avoid surgery.

If you have been trying to get pregnant for quite a long time without any luck, you may want check if you suffer from anovulation. If this happens, the ovaries can not release an egg in the fallopian tubes and the woman cannot conceive. Anovulation can be caused by many factors, the most common of which are stress, bulimia, excessive exercise, weight loss or gain, as well as various health-related conditions and disorders like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and thyroid or pituitary problems.

Even though anovulation can manifest itself with symptoms like reduced PMS symptoms, absence or infrequent menstruation, increased facial and body hair, excessive bleeding during a period and others, the lack of ovulation can only be confirmed by a medical professional, usually after running blood test or ultrasound.

Ovulation is induced with various drugs, but these should only be prescribed by a doctor on an individual basis. There are certain risks to inducing ovulation with drugs and they are associated with the fact that these drugs increase the chances of conceiving twins and triplets. Still, if prescribed, many of the medications work really well and have helped millions of couples to start a family.

One of the drugs that is prescribed if a woman suffers from anovulation is Clomiphene, which is sold as Clomid or generic Clomid, but is also marketed as Serophene and Milophene. Before we start explaining how Clomiphene works and what its success rate is, it is worth pointing out the difference between generic Clomid and Clomid – the brand name pill is what you can find in your local pharmacy, while if you are shopping online, you will most likely be purchasing generic Clomid. As always, when you purchase pills off the World Wide Web, you should be very careful and buy them from well-established online pharmacies only. The generic drugs are usually cheaper, still you need to know that you are getting exactly what you need! Also, never start taking any drug without consulting a doctor – only he can advise you on what can work for you what in the case of treating anovulation is extremely important!

Still, if you have been prescribed Clomiphene, a quick search on Google will convince you just how powerful this medication is. Internet forums are full of stories of women who have had perfectly healthy babies after their cycle of Clomid. The Clomiphene 50mg is one of the three possible doses and you will also find tablets of 25mg and 100mg – and which one you should take should be decided by your doctor only!

Still, Clomiphene can cause side effects, but the majority of the females don’t see any or the effects are mild; if you have bad reaction after Clomid, you should seek medical advice as soon as possible. It is also extremely important that you are professionally monitored while taking Clomiphene – this should have been already discussed with your doctor, but in case it hasn’t, you have to ask him what procedures and tests should be run while you are taking the Clomid.

Heavy metal exposure has been a problem for since the beginning of time. Information goes back to early peoples using pigments and elements to paint structures and dye clothing. Early medical treatments and weapons included an assortment of forms of metals. They are named as such because of their explicit gravity higher than 4.0, and have shared defined properties at room temperature. They exist in near proximity on the Periodic Table of the Elements.

Lately the use and exposure to many different severely treacherous stuff has skyrocketed. There are factually thousands of chemicals in use every day, all over the globe, that is amazingly shaping our wellbeing.

With all of the transportation and vehicle pollution and metal production our local and national environment has become a very insecure area. The most common and perilous heavy metals are:

1. Arsenic- This is seen in virtually all water sources. It is a major opponent of bronzing methods and treated lumber. In the 19th century it was used as an anti-bacterial and is currently approved as a treatment for leukemia.
2. Aluminum- It is abundant in the earths crust and seen in water treatment and power lines. It is used in cosmetics and dental cement.
3. Cadmium- It is found in alloys, pigments, and pvc piping.
4. Mercury- It is found in waste incineration, steel production, and batteries.
5. Lead- It is found in bullets, fishing sinkers, and ballast.
6. Nickel- It is found in magnets, glass, and batteries.

Exposure to heavy metals does not have to be all encompassing to bring about damage to cells and tissues of the body, including the brain and nervous system. Heavy metals can cause oxidative injury to both internal and external components of cells. This form of injury exists where the metal (a free radical) steals an electron from healthy regular tissue. This loss of electrons when happening within the cell triggers DNA break down, damage to protein synthesis, alteration of lipid membranes, and cell death (apoptosis).

It can also stop the production of essential enzymes, hormones and neurotransmitters. Metals can impede the synthesis and normalization of Heme (iron) in cells, and make it hard to invite oxygen to the red blood cells. Disruption of calcium and important mineral exchange across membranes occurs.

Warning Signs differ and can survive in each tissue and cell of the physique. Some may initially be gentle and intermittent, yet can evolve to be painful and insistent. The following is a small list:

1. headaches, insomnia
2. word revival problems
3. depression, anxiety, loss of coordination

An extensive range of peer review analysis have illustrated that the metals can damage any organ or tissue and have been connected with a variety of diseases:

1. Parkinsons Disease
2. ALS
3. Immune degeneration
4. Eye Disorders, Glaucoma, cataracts
5. Diabetes

Rooted on all of this information and a lot more exposed on the Internet from excellent reputable journals, it is seriously important to assess heavy metal status in every one of our bodies. This is not something to ignore or pay no heed to. These substances are the chief reasons behind frequent and degenerative diseases that we suffer from. They incessantly rob us of our function and speed us to a fast death.
